Self Hypnosis

Procedure
Before you lie or sit down, remove all distractions or turn them off (telephones etc). Close your eyes and beginning at your feet imagine each part of your body getting heavier and heavier as it relaxes into a state of rest. Do both feet, legs, chest, arms and head, taking as much time as needed until this is accomplished.
Next you, with eyes closed, imagine a completely dark place in your mind, the centre of this is a tiny pinprick of white light. As you watch the white light it grows larger and larger until it is a small white door which you open and go through.
You now stand in a room of your own making, add furniture if you wish or just leave it bare. This is where you will go to meditate and act out your new self. You need to spend time here regularly and become the person you want to be. Here you look at your specific problems and act as if they do not exists.
If you have a phobia, see yourself in the room without this phobia, imagine yourself free, then leave the room into an imaginary setting where you can test the phobia out by acting in the way you want. By constantly doing this you will find that in real-life the phobia becomes less and less. So imagine a phobia, act it out then come back to reality. Sounds very much a pointless exercise but it is not. What you are doing is imprinting a new self image upon your subconscious mind. You are bypassing the normal negative conscious mind and implanting a new self upon the subconscious as it is the subconscious that will prevail when you are in a setting that the new image is needed for.
If you want to be rich then fill your room with valuable items and imagine yourself with all the money you want and imagine the detail of all the possessions you want. See them in your mind as if they are already yours. This helps to give your subconscious the belief that you are rich and when out in the real world it will act in this way.
You can overcome any problems using this process as your subconscious cannot tell reality from fiction. All great changes, plans and incidents happen by somebody imagining they are happening until they eventually do happen.
When you are in real life and have a phobia or problem you are being told by your conscious mind over and over that you cannot do this, that you are incapable if doing this, but all this is to no avail if you keep re-programming your subconscious to do what you wish. It is the subconscious that rules and promotes actions before the conscious mind has time to complain. So get to the subconscious and reprogram it through self-hypnosis.Changes do not normally happen overnight, they can take weeks or months. The more you practice this technique, the faster the results. The stronger the detail in your mind of the changes you want, the better the results. It is the relaxed state and the power of the imagination that makes these changes.
Try to practice this technique daily if possible and spend as much time as you wish relaxing and imagine.
